| I have to drive a lot, and my time in the car is often spent listening and repeating to various audio and drill materials. I have had the same experience you have, but I also notice that learning language while being engaged in some other activity actually forces the language into my subconscious better. And it's in your subconscious that language is really acquired. I have also always walked the streets at night with headphones on. Something about the combination of language drill with physical activity aids my learning. So I'm with you on this one. |

Hi,Torsten
I am wondering that are you still leanring English now? I think you look like an English teacher and maybe you were born in America or other country that people speak English.
BTW,please correct my mistakes if possible.
Greetings!

Hi Maggie,
Many thanks for positive feedback regarding my English. You see, I'm German and my native language is much closer to English than yours. So for me, it's much easier to learn English that it is for you. I have learned to speak a dozen or so phrases of Chinese but I can neither write or read in Chinese. Learning a language is a life long process and you have to keep exercise your brain just as you have to exercise your body. As a matter of fact, I know that there is still a lot of room for improvement when it comes to my English. But the important question is not how good your English is right now. What really counts is how good your English will be in a few months and then in a few years.
Also, through learning English you get to know a lot of new people and you can share your ideas, questions and experiences with them. You can use English to grow intellectually and make friends.
By the way, where in Taiwan are you located? A couple of years ago I spent three weeks in Taipei and in a few days in the south of Taiwan. That was a very exciting experience! Talk to you soon, Torsen _________________ Test Of English for International Communication TOEIC Preparation & TOEIC Vocabulary |

Hi,Torsen
I were born in central of Taiwan which is near Taichung. However,I have studied and worked in Taipei. When I know you have been to Taiwan,it sounds like we are neighbor.(it's a kind of an example.) I am wondering what was your experience in Taiwan? Which places do you like most? And what season have you come here? I think if you come here in summber,it was very very hot in south of Taiwan.
BTW,I wish I have chance to teach you Chinese if you need.He He.
See you soon!
