Hi everybody! I'm Phuong Tu from Vietnam
I'm a high school student and English is my favourite subject.
I am going to take the TOEFL test in this summer and I find this forum very useful.
My problem of studying English now is the 'word choice' when writing, so I hope to receive your advice on this matter.

Regards
Phuong Tu

Hello Phuong Tu, and welcome to the forum!

Alas, the problem of finding the right words must be universal (at least you and I are not alone in this!) and can arise even in our first language/s.

The good news is that there are so many things we can do to polish the language. And the even better news is that these things don't have to be tedious any more -- sites such as this one are a good proof of it.

All in all, perseverance will reap great results, I'm sure.

hello proalyssa199

Nice to meet you in this forum.

My name is JaeHoon. I'm a Korean and I am a Seoul Nation University undergraduate student.
I surely think that TOEFL is very useful.
But Recently in Korea, TOEFL test is necessary-evil.
Many famous High school ask middle students of wanting a admission for TOEFL score over 100 in IBT.
So many private academy begot in there and there. and all TOEFL test schedules all due out. So many Korean must go out abroad for only TOEFL-test.

@diverhank: thanks for your compliment. I'll do the best to improve my English.

@JeaHoon: TOEFL iBT over 100 is very challenging. 3 of my classmates have taken TOEFL and the highest score of them is 99.
I found TOEFL very practical because it doesn't only help us improve English skills but also requires social knowledge, personal opinions and experiences in speaking and writing tasks.
