TOEFL essay: Compare and contrast your way of life with that of your parents #1 (permalink) Tue Apr 24, 2007 20:18 pm   TOEFL essay: Compare and contrast your way of life with that of your parents

Question:
Compare and contrast your way of life with that of your parents. Which way of life do you think would be more satisfying to future generations?

I think that the contrast between parents and children always exists. Sometimes parents don't like how their children live, I mean the way which choose their children. What about me, I often ask advise from parents, but I try to make my own decision. I know that they wish me well.

My parents was born in post USSR. And this is very big factor which influenced to the way of my parents' life. For example they lived according to plan. They knew that after graduating the university they whould work at factory or somewere else in their city where they lived. They never thought that could visit or study in abroad. However they traveled very often. My parents have been in many post USS Republics. My father engaged in hiking. He have visited many mountain in USSR.

Another factor is the developing of civilisation. For example with developing of computers technology the teenagers and young peoples more prefer to be near computer then to play socker or basketball.

I think my hobbies are different from hobbies of my parents. Therefore my way of life is differ from way of my parents life.

I think the my way of life would be more satisfying to future generations becouse time changes many things including the way of life. But somethings never change, i.e. interest in sports.
