Okay, folks, let's put on our Copy Editor shoes.

I'll start us out by providing a sentence with one (obvious) error in it. The first person to solve it gets to give the next sentence. Please try to put only ONE obvious error in each sentence.

To denote the sentence, please introduce it with SPOT THE ERROR (bold).

So without further ado:

SPOT THE ERROR

-- Jims dog is cool.

Hi, prezbucky

I do like your idea !!! It's very profitable !
So, my best guess is like so: Jim's dog is cool
(Though I dont know no Jim and have no idea if his dog is that cool Wink)

In case I solved your little riddle, here goes my sentence:

SPOT THE ERROR

--I was charged of the crime I hadn't commited

It should be "I was charged with the crime I hadn't committed."

SPOT THE ERROR

-- Texas drought took it's toll in 2006, but next year could be wetter.

PS: Jamie "I look forward to see you" is a really good one because it's such a common mistake that even native speakers seem to pick up on it.

[One could also argue for the use of a comma after "up" and/or "cops", but I'll stick with the Alan School here (hehe) and leave the sentence alone in that sense.]

SPOT THE ERROR

Me and my sister are good people.
