Is "strip my mind" an idimatic expression? Sat Apr 28, 2007 18:41 pm  Is "strip my mind" an idimatic expression?

As far as I know the phrase "strip my mind" has been coined by the Red Hot Chili Peppers but I'm not sure. Googling the phrase produces more than 83.000 results! So, I guess my question is have you ever heard that phrase? (strip my mind)

Thanks,
T

I haven't heard of this expression outside of the song. I think it will soon be an idiom due to its popularity. I, too, did a google search and got 480,000 hits ! Smile

Hi DH,

Did you put the phrase in quotation marks when you googled it? Also, what do you think of the Hot Chili Peppers, they are from California too, aren't they?

No I didn't use quotation marks...that explained a larger number of hits! I don't know much about the Hot Chili Peppers except I do enjoy one of their songs that is played in one of the roller coaster rides in the Disneyland's California Adventure theme park.
