One of them can either be our parents’ nephew or niece.
They same is with us and our brother’s or sister’s children.

A Godfather is a man chosen by a child's parents to represent their young child at that child's christening, as the children are too young to make promises for themselves.
The Gopparents make the promises on their behalf and undertake to help bring the children up in the Christian faith.

Godparents do not have to be related to the child or the child's parents.

Re: Confusion in Nephew & niece concepts #67 (permalink) Tue Aug 02, 2011 2:24 am   Re: Confusion in Nephew & niece concepts

let me just figure out a picture for you that may help you distinguish Nephew /niece and cousin.
for example,A and B are brother ,A' children and B's children are cousin.but to A ,B's sons are A's nephews,and B's daughters are A's nieces.
It is same way with B. A's sons are B's nephew, and A's daughters are B's nieces.
Do you still confuse? :)
