Hello,

In my study of a business English example letter, I'd like to discuss a hypothetical interview invitation. For example, if I receive an interview invitation for Friday the 11th of May, I reply in this way:

Quote:
Dear Mr xxxxxx:

Thank you very much for the opportunity of a personal interview. I will be delighted to meet Mr xxxxx and Mr yyyyyy in your Verona office at 5:00 pm on [date].

Yours sincerely,

xxxxxx

I hope to understand your correction.

Thankyou,

Vincenzo

Thank Mister Micawber,

Sometimes it is discouraging to see how many error are made.
Anyhow, as required from the example mail, you must propose suitable hour (from 5:00 pm example), saying that you have a previous meeting in Milano.
What do you think about something similar?

N.B. she is a woman, probably a segretary

Quote:
Dear Ms. xxxxx,

Thank you very much for the opportunity of a personal interview. I will be delighted to meet Mr. xxxx and Mr. yyyy in your Verona office from 16:30 pm on 11th of May, considering a previous meeting in Milan at 12:00 noon I had.

I look forward to hearing form you.

Yours sincerely,

xxxxxxx

The way your original letter read, I thought it was the employer who proposed the hour; I therefore used 'will' to express your absolute consent.

Quote:
Dear Ms. xxxxx,

Thank you very much for the opportunity of a personal interview. I would be delighted to meet Mr. xxxx and Mr. yyyy in your Verona office, and I am available any time from 16:30 on the 11th of May, since I have an earlier meeting in Milan at 12:00 noon on that day.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely,
