In terms of military:
Righties are generally pro-military (hawks).
Lefties are generally anti-military (doves). _________________ Billie Jean is not my lover. Hee. |

| a "rightwing" person would tend to love guns, the military, God; hate communists, hate terrorists, welfare, illegal immigrants, democrats, abortions, etc.... A rightward leaning person is leaning towards the right but not quite as extreme as a "right wing" person. |

A left-winger would generally hate the rich, big business/capitalism, religion (though there are some churches whose members tend to be economically very liberal), deregulation, etc.
Actually, you could make this very, very wide generalization:
Lefties are generally for bigger government (they would call it helping people)
Righties are generally against bigger government (they would call it intrusion/manipulation)
...those are the old axioms, anyway. In practice, of course, there can be (and certainly is) variability. _________________ Billie Jean is not my lover. Hee. |
