It's 10 o'clock in the morning right now. Before you go home ........., I need you to stop by my office. I have to speak with you immediately.

(b) yesterday

Hi Angella,

You will note that I have edited your question.

In general terms have been is present perfect and had been is past perfect as in:

I have been here for half an hour and no bus has arrived yet

After I had been there for one hour, two buses arrived.
