Could this mean "He doesn't care about it."?

Hi Phoo,

This is difficult to explain without knowing the context. To me it means simply that he is sending it (information/news/messages) to someone at the moment by phone/ or he is only sending it by phone and not perhaps by post or other means. Whether he cares or not, is impossible to say.
