Written in plain English:

'Do to others what you want them to do to you'.

In other words:

'Love your neighbour (which includes your enemy, by the way) as yourself'.

.
And it is 'unto' if anything, not 'onto'. Actually, your whole quote is a little odd, LostSoul-- and even the 'unto' version may be apocryphal.

One Bible's version:

"Do unto others as you would have them do to you". Luke 6:31

Some others:

And as you would that men should do to you, do you also to them in like manner.
Et prout vultis ut faciant vobis homines et vos facite illis similiter

And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
(King James version)

Do to others as you would have them do to you. (New International version)

And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them. (English standard)
.
