The comparison I usually hear in this neck of the woods is that someone drives like a geezer (which would be driving like an old man). 8)

Some common Spanish expressions are 'to drive like a granny/grandpa' or 'like a Sunday driver', as in English. In French we often say 'to drive like a foot/like a tortoise/like a snail.
