Hi,

Alan is doing a good job helping people improve their English skills on this website. Not only is he eager to create most useful vocabulary tests and newsletters, which are sent out to subscribers free of charge via e-mail, but also spends some time each and every day amending essays submitted by learners of English.

In addition to getting helpful suggestions it would be of great benefit to future test-takers to get to know approximately what their English level is. Alan could for instance tell each poster which IELTS Band or TOEFL Writing Mark a particular essay corresponds to. Also, he could tell the writer what there is that the writer needs to work on in order to reach a higher Band Score such as turning a Band Score 6 Essay into a Band Score 7 Essay.

Let me know what you think,

Hi Englishuser,

Many thanks for your interesting suggestions. What about you, would you like to share your opinion on some of the essays on our forum too? Since you are familiar with the IELTS Band system it might be useful if you tell our essay writers what you think their band score could be.
Let me know what you think.
Regards,
Torsten
