The comma between date and month such as 12 April 2010: number-month-number. To April 12 2010, a comma has to be added. Oh, sorry about the trifle.

Please don't be sorry. We don't usually use the MDY format in the UK, so I wasn't sure where you would put it. Thank you for sharing the information.

So you are living in the UK, BN? I love to enjoy fish and chips with Guinness with my friends in English or Irish pubs in Tokyo. :-)

Hi,
Conditional zero is when the simple present is used in both the conditional clause and the main clause, to suggest that the action is general, that is whenever the condition is fulfilled, the result is the same. Example: If you leave butter in the sun, it melts.

Hi, Torsten,
I know my weak spot, and that I need to brushup on but I am engaged in some other books that are taken up all my time. It is a set grammatical books that I bought a couple of years ago on "how to write and speak english". It's helped me trimendously and this is on the second book I am studying. I am going on the third year in a few weeks. It is a lot of fun and to see in myself for the first time. I used to be called name by friends and family but now they are showing respect. To do anything you have to give it everything you got and you have to love it else you'll not in prove. I study 24/ 7 every week and by locking myself away from people and do my thing. I can't wait for you to send your email lesson so many sudents and sharing information on their work you passed on to them. I tried so many of time to use my password and user name to the forum but was refused entire be cause they said that the password doesn't match. I would like you to rectify the mather as soon as possible so I can mingle amonst my pairs. thanks you tutor or tutors

Dear Torsten,

I want to write you my surprise that I filled in a test about the abstract nouns and I had only one mistake: this was the computer. I thought it is a non-abstract word but it came to light that it is an abstract noun. I don't understand the reason, why?

Regards:
Kati Svaby

P.s: Now that I was writing these lines I noticed that the computer didn't correct my spelling. Is this a new trial? Or is the mistake in my my computer?

Either of these:

Doctor, I have not taken a single drop of beer.
Doctor, I did not take a single drop of beer.

Both are correct.
