It's simplisity itself, Watson :)

See - Present form
Saw - Past form ( it has also 2 other meanings - so you'd better refer to any available dictionary, like this one http://dictionary.cambridge.org/ )
You need here the past form cause the action being described happened in the past.

Get it? ;)
