How is "recommend" used ? I thought the following sentence was correct.
"I will recommend that the student (should) speak to the director".
but I found other sententences like this by google as well
"I will recommend the student to speak to the director".
Which is better ?

Thanks in advance.

My surmises about this one:
Quote:
I will recommend the student to speak to the director

If somebody has to speak to the director, I will recommend the student (we were talking about 2 sec ago).

Is it right?
