Dear teachers,

Is it right to refuse an offer by replying "No thanks", or should it be "Thanks but no"?

Thanks

"No, thanks" is just fine. In fact, it's the standard (polite) way to turn down an offer.

Sure.

"Thanks, but no thanks" is more common than "Thank you, but no thank you"... in the USA, at least.
