Are you in the habit of smoking? #16 (permalink) Tue Jun 12, 2007 11:58 am   Are you in the habit of smoking?

Hi!

I?m trying to quit smoking currently and although I experience a better feeling (health and satisfaction) I sometimes get anxious. I mean, in Germany cigarettes cost a lot of taxes which are taken to guarantee inner security and some other fortunes for the people. And what about the cigarette factories and its work-places. How could we substitute them?

Regards
Michael

Chantix is one of those FDA approved drugs which can be used to get over smoking habit. It works on body by giving you the same feel good effect like smoking and hence reduces the craving for nicotine. You can have all the information on chantix here chantixhome.com/ This medicine should only be used in accordance with the instructions of a physician as there are various side effects which may vary from person to person and it includes change of taste, sleeplessness and many more. I have smoked for more than 10 yrs, but now I am spending a smoke free life from last 2 months. Thanks to chantix. Along with having this medicine, you should also have will power and feeling that you want to get over this habit.

I smoked for 20 years, having started in the Armed Forces. I quit on the birth of my first grand child.

Then I succeeded by taking up jogging, progressing to marathon running. For 23 years I never smoked, then at the age of 62 I came to Germany to live, and here I started again. Now I smoke about 50 cigarettes a day. Not good for my health I know, and my marathon days are now far behind me. I still get exercise by walking my little dogs twice a day, and thankfully that seems to be keeping me in " decent " condition.

I'd definitely warn against smoking though, for anyone thinking about starting.
