Hi Konstantin,
You have set yourself a very worthwhile goal and I'm sure you will achieve it. Have you written your article in Russian yet? What is your article about? How did you come up with the idea of writing an article for a journal? If your article contains valuable information that readers will be interested in, your chances of getting it published are better. Maybe you should contact the editors of that journal to see if your article meets their requirements? Also, why do you want to get your article published in a foreign journal?

Hello Torsten. I have a few published articles in the Russian journals and they were about Robotics and Signal Processing. On the other hand, I believe that the publications in the foreign periodical will be useful for my future career, because none outside Russia could read them. But the articles on English could be read in any part of the world. Even if it was onle an additional point in my resume it would be great. |

Good evening Konstantin,
Have you tried writing your articles in English? You can always have them proofread and edited/amended by an ESL professional. Also, how about publishing your articles on the Internet in addition to trying to get them published in paper based journals? _________________ Test Of English for International Communication TOEIC Preparation & TOEIC Vocabulary |

Hello Konstantin,
From my experience you would have to be a member to publish a journal, in this case a member of IEEE Robotics that you mentioned. Are you a member? Or is your professor a member of the society?
I published a paper for the undergraduate students under the membership of my professor once. No biggy, just a bunch of college kids talking about their research in an annual event held by the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (JSME). After surviving the "test" where they bombard you with questions, they publish your article with the others' in a form of a book.I suppose it should work the similar way.
Find an event you can participate and apply for it.
All the best,
Nina

Hi Konstantin,
It would be more productive for you to write your articles in English but not conversely--Russian original translated into English. Try to think in English and come up with the idea in English. But if you have prepared some Russian articles that are supposed to be translated, here are some good tips: -enrich your articles with buzzwords, idioms, terms ... -put the English version in a concise way( you know, that a long Russian sentence can be expressed in English with a few words due to the constructions available) in order to get a literate translation. |

Hi,
You could have some of your Russian articles translated into English by an authorised translator, if you'd like.
All the best
