Hello Alan,

I translate a paragraph in a book that is interesting but I am not sure if it is correct. Kindly help me check and correct it.

"Being without friend is certainly sad. However, which friends and how their existence can make us happy. Some friends, like a silent musical note, give us a peace and a comfortable feeling. Beside them, we do not need to try to break the ice with some insipid stories.
Noise and silence are two different sides of human spirit. Man can get a sick with noise but never feel bored with silence."

Thanks for your support.

Hi,

I have made some changes:

Being without A friend is certainly sad. However, which friends and how CAN their existence make us happy? Some friends, like a silent musical note, give us a peaceFUL and comfortable feeling. IN THEIR PRESENCE we do not need to try to break the ice with ANY POINTLESS stories.
Noise and silence are two different sides of THE human spirit. Man can BECOME/GET sick with noise but never feel bored with silence.

Alan
