How competitive are you? Do you want to win at any cost? Do you back off if you find the competition too strong? Is it the winning or beating others that turns you on or do you really want the prize?

My questions have been prompted by a TV series currently showing in the UK in a programme called The Apprentice. This is a series in which 16 of the brightest and best compete to be appointed as the winner. They have various tasks to perform and each week one of them is fired or sacked from the group. The idea is based on an idea from American TV:

I assume that she decided to drop out because whether she'd gotten completely worn out and reckoned that the aim isnt worth trying or she'd been offered something more promising and ventured to go for it
