Which is correct. I am not waking up the baby, I am talking softly. Or
I will not wake up the baby I am talking softly.

thank you.

Hi,

Your sentences:

I am not waking up the baby, I am talking softly. Or
I will not wake up the baby I am talking softly.

In the first sentence you are simply saying what you are doing and both tenses have the same idea of what is happening now.

The second sentence suggests that your action is not going to wake the baby (I think I won't would cover that) and the reason why you won't do this is because at the moment you are talking softly.
