Nobody wants to comment on this good news? or you don't believe any positive news happening in China?

Every time there is something wrong happening in china , foreign media have tons of words to say which implies " Look! this is what is happening in a Sciolism society. How vicious it is!"

Hi aleaf,

Do you think it is hugely important to report the sex of the person you spoke with?

I believe Aleaf wanted to tell this positive news about the Tibetans in China. It is a very good step indeed, Aleaf, that China has sooner or later walked toward democracy. Very Happy

And what made you feel very happy about it, Aleaf, was that the Tibetans have ever been treated unfairly by the Chinese government and now they are free to go everywhere. Right? Very Happy

che :
What do you mean "allowed to go everywhere " ?
It means they don't need to get any allowance to leave their Tibet. As long as they have money they can go anywhere they want.

Nowadays chinese no matter he/she is Han or not can go to any place without any limitations, both including in china or going abroad.

We are living as free as a fish in water.

Rosalisa:

I am a chinese what i learn about Tibet is almost from TV or newspaper.I have never heard they were ever treated unfairly. what i know is that Chinese government has been giving favorable policy to Tibet, eg every year the central government put huge sam of money to enhance the local development ther.

I think no matter how much i say here most of you won't believe me. Just go and see there yourself. Facts will tell you. Maybe when you get there you will find something unexpected. And if posssible i will go there myself and find the truth. Only the local people have the right to say whether the chinese government is good or not. You foreigners or maybe including me don't have the right to comment on it.Because we don't live there.

But I absolutely have the right to comment on the policy of chinese government put on the city i live in.And any of you foreigners who live far away from here don't have the right.

BTW Travl industry is pretty developed in Tibet. Welcome travel there.

Hi Aleaf,

I have known this from the history books as well. Really, there is no excuse for me. But I just want to ask you one thing. If the Chinese government didn't treat the Tibetans unfairly, whey couldn't they let Tibet an independent country? Why did they send Dalai Lama in exile to other countries? These are just my questions about it. I hope you don't mind these.

Yes,I believe in what you say. It is only we go and experience what happens in Tibet then we will know how it is.

If we can't comment on ideas and we don't get ideas, we will never learn.

Che:

As far as i know they can go to any place without any allowance. At least On sunday when I asked this question to a Tibetan who sold me some handcrafts he didn't mention it.

One day you go to Tibet, everything will be clarified.

Rosalisa:

We chinese has been regarding Tibet as an undivisible part. We treat every minority as our siblings. Those minorities make our culture colorful and attractive. As far as i am concerned, i feel proud of Tibet. And if you ask Tibetans(not including those abroad), they will say Tibetan and Han and other minorities are brothers.

Why should we allow Tibet independant? We chinese won't accept it. just like a family , all siblings will live together forever.

Do you think any a nationaity should be an independant country in the world?

scotland Quebec chechen ........ do you think all of these places be independant?

Why do you think the Chinese government should have the power to decide who belongs and who does not belong to your nation? How do you feel about Taiwan? If the people of Tibet want independence, I honestly cannot understand why the Chinese should keep the landmass against the wishes of its natives.

scotland Quebec

Ultimately, it is up to the people of a region to decide whether to form an independent nation or not. The people of Scotland are almost independent thanks to the Scottish Parliament.

Just to post some thoughts.

All the best

But who is the representative of tibet? Dalai Lama or average Tibetans?

How do you know average Tibetans i mean those who are living in Tibet want to be indepentant?
Dalai Lama and those who were exiled abroad were only a minor part of Tibetan.

The best solution to get rid of all your Doubts is -> go to tibet youself and ask those questions to local people. Even i can't represent them. I just express my opinion. Just for reference.
