no one was aware of where she had gone? Mon Jun 11, 2007 18:36 pm  no one was aware of where she had gone?

Hi,guys

The people at the party were worried about Janet because no one was aware ____ she had gone.

(A) where that (B)of where (C)of the place where (D)the place

The correct answer is (B),but I think (C) is okay, also. Am I right?

Thanks in advance.

it sounds ok to me but its redundent because "place" and "where" indicate the same thing

I am thinking that 'where' might be complex relative pronoun. It's similar as what equals the thing which, where equals the place where etc. Am I right?
