Correct answer: (c) increase

'Ascend', 'raise' and 'increase' have almost the same meaning'. What is this ALMOST? How to distinguish?

Hi Gabi,
'Increase' is a word that pretty much collocates with a 'price'. You cannot use 'raise' in the sentence as it requires another verb rise instead. Develop is not appropriate either...
