This seems to be a rather specialized use of the word, Lolita. 'Possible use' seems closer than any other word that occurs to me. 'Potential' is close, but is uncountable.

It would be better to provide the clues with the article, otherwise the answer is prompted by choosing the clue that matches "an" in the sentence. As a matter of fact in this case there is only one possible answer starting with a consonant!
