you are welcome. The answer to your question is yes. Althought the religious conservatives have tried to segregate classes based on gender, they haven't had much success. The solution they have found is that in the classes usually girls sit in the back so that the boys can't be distracted by them Smile this is actually funny because the overwhelming majoirty of university students in Iran (70%) are girls and in some fields it is not unusual to have 20 girls and one or two boys in the class. But I think recently the parliament passed a law that basically prevents girls from taking more than 50% of university seats.

Very Happy....So female students will have to sit in the back of the class. Smile But Majid what do you think about classes which are only single-gendered and classes that consist of both genders?

I don't see anything wrong with coed classess. Especially in English classes It will be an incentive for the students to try harder.

I do agree with you, Majid. I have ever taught English to a few classes. I have noticed that classes with both girls and boys can run very fast and students are more encouraged to try harder. Being with each other can be a real incentive.
