I've heard of some people that have lowered their score after 6 months of taking it for the first time. Is that possible??? why would that happen? Could the level of English plummet just like that?

Well, any test you take cannot cover all the Grammar so a test you take now and a test you will take 6 month later probably will prove to be different. And therefore on the first test you may score 100% and on the second - 0%.
So I dont see anything strange.
The level is the same (or not, if you've been studying during all those 6 month), it's just that it is tested from different angles.

yes it is possible if you do not use the language regularly. To keep your TOEIC score high, try the new TOEIC preparation website at www.worldtoeic.com It is really good for TOEIC preparation and just to keep your English fit and healthy.

www.hamburg-english.de the creators of worldtoeic actually have many very good tests and resources for the TOEIC. Give them also a try.

Is this really what the TOEIC is all about? And why do you capitalise 'grammar'?

All the best

What I was trying to say is that TOEIC (and whatever other tests you can take) cannot assess your knowledge fully. It can only assess a part of it, in fact a very little part.

No test can test your total knowledge however, from one part of knowledge you can assume other things. This is an endless thread of assumption getting more and more unreliable as depth deepens.

An example of this is that if you show an understanding in a question about past and present tense, and in this question you use the verb "to be", one can assume not only the understanding of the past and present, but also of the to be verb. (assuming the question, and others similar are answered correctly)

Unfortunately most people do not understand testing and assume that having the correct answer to the question is as far as it goes! But this is false. This thought is used by many to create tests however, these are not really tests. The subject of testing is far more than 'a question an answer'.

As for the question in this thread regarding capitalisation of Grammar. Native speakers use capitalisation to Emphasise a word. This is also the language of advertising and is a deeper part of understanding and communicating in English.

For example, there is a big different between ...

He saw the film yesterday
and
He saw the Film yesterday.

However ... this is not accepted by many. I suppose some people work by the book and just cannot accept that a language is alive!

May I just mention our websites and tests at
