Thanks again for pointing out this mistake, Ralf has re-recorded the file and I think he did an excellent job. What's your take on this?
Ralf did a nice job. I'm sure everyone will enjoy listening to the new and improved version and will also benefit from hearing the wonderful Irish sound. Very Happy

Thank you, Amy. You made me blush to the roots of my ginger hair so that my freckles nicely blended in with my crimson red face Very Happy.

By the way, we've now added an "embedded MP3 player" which means our users can hear Ralf's and Y.'s voices by just one click. No need to have an external media player on your PC...

Oh, I see. Thanks, Torsten. It's detailed responses like that that really make life worth living.

Out of curiosity, have any of the tests been recorded by someone with an American or Canadian accent?

Hi,

I've just edited Torsten's and Amy's messages, because the person in question stated private reasons as to why he did not want to be mentioned here.

By the way, would you say that responses which never come are even more worthwhile?

Well, then you might need to edit some other threads too, Ralf.

Hi Torsten

How have you decided to actually correct the test?

Both of those quotes were a reference to this test:
http://www.english-test.net/forum/ftopic1890.html#100445

Is that test also going to be corrected?

Have you noticed that it has been literally impossible to get a straight answer from you about this? Either you're going to fix the error or you're not. If you're not going to fix it, then why not have the courage of your convictions and just say so?

Why all the silly beating around the bush?

A typo here (Q #2) should read 'next', not 'nest', please:

Hi Charles,

Many thanks for pointing this out. I changed it a couple of weeks ago and it will go online with the next update.

Q#2 needs some sort of repunctuating. I suggest: Charlie: Yes, hello. It's Charlie here.

Q#3 does, too. I suggest: Woman: Me? Oh, I'm doing ........., thank you. And you?

For Q#9 perhaps: Woman: By the way, I don't know anybody ......... Charlie.

And #10: Charlie: Sorry about that. I must have ......... the wrong number.
