Predicate Adjectives #2 (permalink) Tue Feb 03, 2004 12:48 pm   Predicate Adjectives

Dear Hanygeorge,

Adjectives can be part of the predicate - the verb in a sentence. Look at this example: Hanygeorge is an intelligent person. In this sentence the adjective 'intelligent' is linked to the verb 'is'. That's why it's in this case 'intelligent' is called 'predicate adjective'.
Maybe, Alan will give you more examples.

Hi Afnan,

The word intelligent is an adjective.

By the way, you might want to change some of your typing habits. Please read this: How can I improve my writing skills?
