Hi Vladislav,
'Politeness' is a noun and 'polite' is an adjective. The sentence you are referring to requires an adjective (It is polite to....)
Let me know if this answers your question.

Hi Hang,
'Tell' is usually used as 'tell a story' or 'tell someone' in the sense of 'inform'. 'Speak' simply means 'use your voice to utter words' and 'talk' is usually used for 'making conversation'.
Let's put them together:
The teacher told the children that it was rude of some of the children to speak while she was talking to other people in the class.

Mr. Torsten, I have answered 5 question out of 10 correctly: 4: I wrote live 5: I wrote benefit 6: I wrote out 8: I wrote brief 10: I wrote habits
I was thinking about what Anna says, in my opinion its depends of what people have been doing at that moment, if somebody was very busy is possible to do something stupid whithout to be born dumb.
Thank you Best regards Leonor |

Hello Torsten'
I wanted to let you know that I've got 8 out of 10 in 'we went on holidays', and I also found the difference between dumb and stupid. At first, I couldn't understand your joke but later I got it. And it was written very nicely with a humorous style. So when do we get your next joke?
Thanks for sending me the lessons.
Talk to you soon,
Farzana |

Hello Torsten, First of all a big smile appeared on my face when you said : Faranza". I want to tell you the correct Pronunciation of my name that is Farzana not Faranza Oh! that is not a big issue, I am happy with that .Its reminded me of my English teacher. She is native Canadian and she had never pronounced my name correctly. Any how, just for your knowledge this is a Persian name. Now lets come to the topic. I will tell you when I read the article " A bit of laugh" I managed to learn a lot things from it and I totally agreed with you and Mr Alen that laughter is good for learning. We can learn much more effectively. I had taken some English classes and our teachers followed the same rule. During class, they create a very pleasant and friendly environment through their spontaneous humorous sentences and jokes and the result was we felt all day happy, fresh and in a good mood. The benefits from this was that our senses were alive and we got ready for learning every single thing. We don't even know how much we have learned. This is also something else that I just remember when I was a child and my father used to give me any task and I hadn't understood at that time then my father used to ask me with a very serious face " Is there brain bigger then the cow? I used to think for a while and then realized Oh! I did something wrong. By pulling my leg he would force me to think. I believe that everyone has a sense of humor regardless of age. You only need to know how to use it . I also want to chip in one more sentence a clean sense of humor makes you respectful. I think, someone has understood in this forum what I want to say.
Thank you Torsten for given me a smile Regards
