Hi

I would like to know if you use "gross" as an exclamation? Is it used only to show disgust?

Hi,

It could be an exclamation showing that you think something is very crude, vulgar or in bad taste.

Hi Tom

You might hear people in my neck of the woods use the expression "Gross!" particularly when they see, smell or touch something that is disgusting or turns the stomach. I mentioned skunks here in the forum a few months ago. The smell of a skunk is unbelievably gross.
