TOEFL Essay Sample: Parents are the best teachers

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
Parents are the best teachers
Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

A person can learn things existing in this world by so many ways, it can be from his teachers, friends, the environment around him and especially from his parents. In my opinions, parents are always the best teachers of us in almost circumstances. I will explain my ideas as following.

The first thing is that parents always do everything in need for their children. As a normal thing, every day, I see pregnant women prepare for their future children with the hope their daughters/sons will become a good person, or even a talented person .Therefore, it is so normal if you see a gruff woman becomes so sweet, reads books about nutritious foods or about how to help children to become talented... which they have never read before, even sometimes thought it is so boring and useless. Not only so, parents are ready to change their habits, their living environment just because they always hope that their children will be taken care in the best way. This devotedness to their children we can see not one day, two day, but through their whole lives. Therefore, I can say parents are the best teachers of their children.

Secondly, with the belief that parents will do anything good for them, children always listen to their parents' advice, even it is good or not. When a child is just born, it will imitate anything from its mother first, and then others around it. If the mother always smile with her daughter/son, it will probably like smiling as her. If it is older a little, it will listen to its parents' advice about the way to talk, to learn, and so on....Everything is deprived from their experience in their lives, or what they learn from books, other people...

Because of all things above, with the interactive impact between parents and children,I can deduce that: parents will be the best teachers of their children even it is bad or good factor...
