what is the most important animal in your country ? why is the animal important?

Every animal is so important to humankind. They can be friends, or just literally provide us with meat, leather... With Vietnamese, buffalo plays a key role more than others. They have become the symbol of Vietnamese The reasons for that I will list as following.

The foremost reason I can use to explain for the important role of buffalo in Vietnam is its material value. Farm work is usually hard work that asks for physical health, endurance, working for a long time,and usually being outside even it is raining or sunny day... Although you are the strongest person in your village, it is still so hard to complete your work perfectly without the help of others; you will soon be exhausted by overwhelming work. The appearance of buffalo makes everything become easier, no longer do people have to pull the plough or carry heavy wood that always lurk something so dangerous.

Therefore, we can say buffalo used to be the first means to help people escape from heavy work. Nowadays, although there is the improvement of technology, every problem regarding traction is dealt at ease with the help of transportation means, such as cars, trucks, and even aircrafts..., the key role of buffalo doesn't change too much, especially in the Northern part of Vietnam.

The second thing needed to be mentioned is the importance of buffalo to Vietnamese culture. In far-off days, buffalo was the symbol of Vietnamese with so good qualities, such as: industriousness, endurance..., and nowadays, this has not changed. Buffalo more becomes priceless when it is a close friend of rural children. To show the love of us, buffalo was carved on so many bronze drums of Dong Son period and other things. Moreover, you can see a big deal of feasts and festivals with the present of it, especially in Buffalo Fighting Feast. In there, people respect buffalo more than every day, it is cheered up, taken care, take the shower...

With the important function as I list above, we can see buffalo deserves to become a part of Vietnamese, of our country. We don't think it is only a means to help us lessen difficulty in work, we respect it and love it.
