She's probably 17 at the oldest. 'A minute over' is an exaggerated form of 'slightly over'. The point is that she is very young and cute.

We can't say here how old she is. She is too cute to be a minute over seventeen. It's our impression of her. She is so cute that we can't believe her to be a minute over seventeen. But actually she can be more than seventeen. One of my students is 21 but she looks so cute that you won't think she is a minute over seventeen.
Probably she is seventeen as MM says. And maybe she 21 but she looks young(not a minute over seventeen). :wink: |
