Hi,

Is this term used in English or do you have any other words for a company that provides services for the municipality and is run a private individual?

"owner-operated municipal enterprise"

Thanks,
Torsten

Hi Torsten,

I'm thrashing around here a bit on this but I'll have a go. Perhaps owner operated could be described as private sector and municipal enterprise could be simply utility. You would therefore end up with: utility run by the private sector.

Any use?

Alan

thanks for the translation for the term, but what means run by? Means this that the enterprise (utility) is included in the city structur or means this, that the utility is a legal entity. But the utility isn?t a legal entity.
