Jamie,
Open your eyes, cars made in Michigan (not elsewhere in America) remain sh*tty, period. Michigan can't get anything right except dishing out insults and generalizations. You want generalizations? I can dish them out just as well as any inbred Michigan jerks.

Oh here are some half-truths:
Q: Why don't they teach Drivers Ed and Sex Ed on the same day in Michigan?

A: It's too hard on the mule!

Q: An OSU fan and a Michigan fan are in the third grade. Who's bigger?

A: The Michigan fan... he's 18 years old.

This will be my last post on the matter. I'm sinking to a level I haven't been.

I never use LOT to much stress ...
but in Barcelona on a cheap city trip by bus with a pilot I have seen a miracle.
The pilot pretended to know six languages and was explaining all around in four of them very quick very over surface when cruising through the city.
My problem was ; I couldn't understand even a word of all his talking
turning back to
a next couple (Germans) asking if it is just me or he is smug self declared tourist guider.
It turned to be undecided with strong favour on the second option.
I guess he had learned by heart all four languages versions and charged his employer four times.
Questioned by Jan in bad German and very bad English got panic said something about these bad Russians ( all the time Russians were trying to shut him up or kick him out of a bus) run away forward , keeping a respective distance all the times after.
Some friends said to me just relax mostly they can't understand a sh...t from
any foreigners.
Why one tourist guide should be an exemptions?

Regards

Jan

What's your problem with Michigan?

The University of Michigan is a fine school, one of the top two or three state-run institutions of higher learning in the country.

Lots of cherries are grown in Michigan. Surely you like cherry pie.

And Yoopers are Michiganders. I tell ya, eh, you haven't had fun until you've gone camping with Yoopers.

And American cars have improved by leaps and bounds in the last 20 years. Many models present exceptional value to the consumer. The Big Three corporate headquarters (or at least the brain trust -- HQ might be in Delaware where taxes are more amenable to corporations. hehe) are in Michigan.

What's good for GM is good for America.

hehe

The automotive company headquarters are all in Michigan. Delaware is the state preferred by banks and credit card companies, because it has no usury laws (as far as I know).

A lot of biotech companies are also either relocating to, or putting plants in Michigan. If I'm not mistaken, over 50 percent of the new jobs being created in the state are in biotech, mainly because of the large research complexes in the university medical centers.
