`You will have to do for him, twelve very difficult and dangerous labours. When you have faithfully and patiently obeyed him you will be honoured among men. You will be reward at the end of your life with a place in heaven among the gods.'

I can't understand the expression, "honoured among men" in this particular context.

I know the meaning of, honour, among, men individually, but I can't understand them as a whole.

Could you explain it to me?

Hi,

This simply means: You will be respected by everybody now and in the future. People will look back at what you have done and show you respect and honour.
