Why was my question deleted? Sun Jul 29, 2007 15:16 pm  Why was my question deleted?

While we really do want to answer any language question you might have, we sometimes also delete posts. Here is an example of the type of question that frequently gets deleted:

What means "ladder"?

(This question should read "What does 'ladder' mean?" but that's not the reason why it is deleted.)

We delete such questions because as a learner of English you should be able to use a dictionary. If you have access to the Internet you can simply google the phrase "meaning of ladder" or "define ladder" and you will get an answer to your question instantly.

Many thanks for your understanding.
Torsten
