Hello Tersten, I am so happy when i found this site. Because i want to learn English very much. In my country, Vietnam, I think that if someone have good English skills, they will have lots of chances. Unluckily, I know this matter clearly but my English is not good now. Event I try to study it many times. I said many times here because when I want to change or find a new job,I have to think about refreshing all my English skills first. If I find a job what works for a foreign company my English skills may be improved when I have chances to use English frequently. Otherwise everything is still same before. Thanks to your topic. Hello Torsten! Personally, I learn English because I like it! I like to listen english songs or to watch english movies. In addition, I have a dream - I want to go to different European countries such as England, Sweden, Scotland and stuff like that. Than, another reason is my desire to help people understand each other. I want to be an interpreter. Now I'm studing at school and I'm trying to do as much in improving my English as I can. But, if tell the truth, sometimes I become lazy. So now I reading this book "English for Winners" with hope that it'll help me with my problems. P.S. Sorry, if you'll find mistakes in this text:) |

hello Mr.Torsten
thank for asking again, for me the reason behind learning English that I'm studying in English and most of my teachers are English speakers therefore, I must learn English to have a better communicating with them. also, I live in a city which there are a lot of foreigners from US,UK,china, india, pakistan and other countries. I know until now my English is not good but nothing is impossible, I'm sure there will be a day I speak fluent English.
thank you |

Hi Nour25..
Learning a language is like acquiring an asset in life. It will open a new window to the world of culture and traditions of the particular language, I believe. You can gain more knowledge by reading the books in that language in addition to lingual communication.
please. don't get discouraged by writing like "....I know until now my English is not good but nothing is impossible, I'm sure there will be a day I speak fluent English..." You are far more better than many of us here, and I am sure that in the nearest future..you will SPEAK fluent English..and try to spare a portion of your free online time to speak to your FAVORITE friends..who like to speak to you or the ones whom you like to listen to.. _________________ Sahid59
