Hi, everyone.
In a text on marketing I met an expression which meaning is somewhat unclear to me. What does "on this value" mean in the following passage?

The Company should follow the intensive distribution strategy within the selected supermarket chains, because it is applicable to items such as meat products which are frequently purchased. Customer involvement in managing meat products is high and perceived as a minimal risk. By offering products through a large number of supermarkets I receive wide availability which increases the opportunity for high volume sales. Even though customer involvement is part of selective distribution sales, the company should focus on this value.

I think that the phrase means that customer involvement in selective distribution sales is very important and the Company should focus on this. I'm not sure that my understanding is correct.

"Value" can mean something like ethical or professional practice, and it can mean a part of a mathematical equation ("the value of x", for example). I think that here "value" means a cross between professional practice and a part of an equation. The word isn't being used in a completely normal way.
