Hi annika

You have the right idea as to what tax is. Would more say enforced on an individual though ; ) But maybe cause I await with dreda my last tax declaration.

Income tax and VAT sometimes are confused by my students. The tax on a personīs earnings (income tax) is often related to the amount, and each system is complex, and often questioned by the tax payers. Some taxes you have to wonder about. Like dog, church or road tax. How the government uses the tax collected via income tax is also debatable.
