Before you can write and publish a job advertisement you have to know exactly what kind of person you are looking for. That's why you should create a profile that contains all the necessary information (education, qualifications, soft skills, language and computer skills etc.)

Why "Picture" is rejected as an answer. It too fits in the sentence properly. I think.

Although you are correct to say that 'picture' fits, in this example it is not the absolute best fit. Although we talk about building up a picture of what someone is like, a 'profile' is the correct term for an analysis of characteristics for a specific purpose (in this case, the characteristics of the person most suited to this particular job).
Multiple choice questions will often include more than one word which seems to fit, but there will be only one that is a perfect fit. In a test, you must always seek out the 'perfect fit' words, rather than just an acceptable word from those on offer. _________________ Cheers m' dears! |
