Mr. A : I boarded on the train to reach here so it took five hours.

Mr. B : I think it would be better off if you have taken flight to come here. Now you have missed your important exam.

Are these sentences correct? [Particularly the use of the phrases "better off" and "boarded on"]

Please help me.

No; simply 'boarded the train' (no 'on') and 'you would have been better off if you had flown'.
