I scared the children away to get out of the garden, otherwise they will damage the bushes.
I chased the children away to get out of the garden, otherwise they will damage the bushes.


Are the both sentences correct? [Particularly the use of "scared away" and "chased away"]

Please help me.

I scared the children out of the garden; otherwise, they would damage the bushes.
I chased the children out of the garden; otherwise, they would damage the bushes.
