If we had more money (now) we might travel a lot (now).

But in my opinion both of the two are correct grammatically, but 'might' is absolutely right filled in the sentence. The meaning is clear yet 'had better' is a little odd in the meaning.

What is your spanish question??

We'd better = we had better (like we had a better choice)
We'd rather/sooner = we would rather/sooner (here you cant say "we had a rather choice, since would")
We'd + a verb = We would + a verb

In your case you can use "We'd" instead of "We might"

BTW, I always wondered where the word alumni came from. Now I know - from Spanish

Hi alumno

We'd better (we had better) doesn't make any sense in your sentence. Therefore, might is the correct option.

In your sentence, you could also possibly say "... we'd travel a lot" (we would travel a lot), but I think might is better in this case. It's more tentative (i.e. less sure) than would.
