| I enjoyed reading the essay. It adds more delighting info regarding the history of one of the most international languages in the world. I am a secondary school teacher here in the Philippines and the essay can simply be taught to my students because of the idea's simplicity yet very interesting one. I look forward to reading more essays and other related pieces of genres so as to enlighten my mind. GODBLESS AND MABUHAY! |

The article made superb reading material. The history of the English language was an educative one. I love Alan's writing - it keeps flowing, with colourful phrases, which one seldom comes across nowadays. Thanks you for bringing a smile on my face - Ah! Just the perfect dash of humour that one needs to keep drab topics interesting. Keep it up, Alan! |

. That was a nice piece, Alan. I can't help but wonder, though, if the French reaction to that apostrophe will be "Quelle horreur! Sacre bleu! Ce ne'st pas possible!" . _________________ Amy

| I found it a very good way to learn English through studying essays by heart. I'm introduced to new words, thus enhancing my vocabulary. I've become more fluent! Thanks, Alan! |
