Hey guys,

Has anyone managed to figure out the way the GRE-algorithm works?
How important are the first questions, and is it worth spending extra-time on them, in the cost of missing the last 2, for example?
In other words,Should there be a unique way of approaching the adaptive test?

Yea... Give more emphasize on first five questions in each section(dont bother abt time), coz these questions can take you to the score greater than 700 if you are unable to answer correctly in the last few questions also.

Also the last questions can't fetch you good score. So if you answer first five correctly, you should definately get good score. Take your time in these questions, and after the fifth question, just start as usual test so that time should not be the matter.

Remember, if you cant answer all the questions in the test, there is a PENALTY of 30 score for each questions unanswered. TAKE IT STRICTLY... So, suppose you have attempted 28 questions out of 30, you will have your 28 questions score - 60 score.....

so you do you mean to say that answering the first 10 questions right will definitely fetch you a score of 700+ ????
(at least as far as verbal section is concerned )

Yes dude, no joke here. But that doesn't mean that only 10 questions can fetch you to 700+ score. Atleast you should have correct answers beyond 20. As I know, 1 of my frnd had got 800 score in quants even he had answered 3 questions incorrectly. He was sure that he did the blunder in the last 3 questions due to lack of time.
