Hi

I would really love to know if you have ever felt homesick? What's the best remedy for this disease? How long does it usually linger around you?

Oh, what a question!

I used to feel homesick everyday before, even when my father used to call me on a daily basis, it still didn't lessen the horrible feeling.

Now, I feel perfectly alright most of the time, but when it strikes I usually will call my father and once I hear his voice, I will just cry and cry and cry without saying anything and he will know.

As usual, he will use the "reverse psychology" method where he usually says, "Cry, just cry, just let it out" and automatically I will stop crying. When I was small, I didn't understand why I stopped crying once he said it, but now I know the term, I hate it!

The only remedy, I think, is by going home right away. Which is impossible.

But, not thinking about it and occupying myself with work works for me. Sometimes.
