Hi

If a teacher gives some pages to the students in the front row and asks them to "Pass them down", would it make sense? Or "Pass them behind."?

Thanks Alan

...and what about "Pass it behind." if a teacher wants every row of the students to pass those papers behind (them/ it?) only?

Tom

PS: I am not comfortable with the above RED sentence--do you find any mistakes here? Please let me know.

Hi Tom

I wouldn't say "Pass them behind". I think I'd probably tell the students to "take a copy and pass the rest to the back" or "...pass the rest to the person behind you".
